You probably have all heard about the friend zone. Everyone who has ever been in it knows that it sucks. In this short post, you will learn what the friend zone is, how you can avoid getting into it and in case you are already in it, how to escape it.
What is the friend zone?
The friend zone is when you are interested in a girl romantically, but she just wants to be friends. There are two situations that we will be talking about.
How to avoid the friend zone, meaning that you get to know a woman and want to avoid drifting into the friend zone. The second situation is how to escape the friend zone, meaning you are already in the friend zone and want to get the hell out of it.
Before we get started I want to tell you that neither of those situations is easy to solve. There are no guarantees and in most cases you are just wasting your time. With these encouraging words in mind let’s get started.
How to avoid the friend zone
You end up in the friend zone when you fail to express enough sexuality to her. It might be too late with the girl you are currently interested in, but this is how you don’t end up in the friend zone in the first place:
- Look her in the eyes when you talk to her – Don’t shy away!
- Touch her (when appropriate)
- Be honest! If you tell her what you really think there is no chance you enter the friend zone.
- Stop being needy. Don’t put her on a pedestal, don’t wait for her to call you, don’t listen to the song they played when you were out the other night.
This way you have only two possible outcomes:
- She wants you
- She doesn’t want you
Like everything else the behavior mentioned above will come naturally once you adopt the right mindset. Without the right mindset, everything you do can easily come across as creepy so make sure you work on it parallel to changing your behaviour.
IMPORTANT: You have to accept it if she is not interested in you. Don’t try to convince her otherwise. No means no!
How to escape the friend zone
New situation. You are already in the friend zone with a woman. How can you escape it? I have been in this situation quite often. From my personal experience there is only one way:
- Get distance from her
- Don’t call her or text her
- Delete or throw away everything that reminds you of her (e.g hide her statuses on Facebook but don’t unfriend her, that’s childish)
- Have fun living your life and work on yourself
- Date other women
- Let some time pass
If you apply this process you might have the chance to have a romantic relationship with this girl later. There is no guarantee that anything will ever happen, but this is your only chance.
The more pressing question is why you would want to be with a woman who is not romantically interested in you?
Think about it for a moment. She has no interest in dating you so why would you spend your precious and limited time on earth trying to convince her otherwise? In the meantime, you could become a charismatic, confident guy with a large circle of friends and a gorgeous girlfriend who loves you for who you are.
I have wasted years clinging to girls who weren’t interested in me. Learn from my stupidity! Let those harmful relationships go and instead have fun with your life and be open to finding a woman who adds to your life instead of taking it away.
